On Jan. 14, 2006, Chairman Lee of the Alabama House Health Committee announced that House Bill 31 will be carried over and not taken up for a vote at the committee's first meeting of the year. "This first bill, HB 31, will be carried over," the chair stated, saying there had been discussion and further work might be required before the bill is ready for a vote.
