The Angels Camp City Council on Sept. 16 accepted the resignation of City Administrator Pam Koronekan, effective Sept. 12, and approved an interim employment agreement with Steve Williams.
Council members announced that staff had been given direction in closed session and that Koronekan’s resignation had been received and accepted. The appointment of Steve Williams as interim city administrator was placed on the night’s agenda and discussed in open session. According to staff, the proposed agreement sets compensation within the city’s published pay schedule and is limited to a maximum of 960 hours or the earlier appointment of a permanent administrator.
Council moved and seconded the employment agreement on the record and approved it by roll call. Williams thanked the council for the opportunity to serve. The council did not set a timeline for hiring a permanent administrator at the meeting; staff said it would return with recruitment next steps as needed.
