At the start of the Jan. 28 meeting, the board elected officers and set its 2026 meeting schedule. Britney Milton expressed willingness to serve as chair and the board moved and seconded a motion to elect Milton as chair and to appoint the vice chair (a board member who volunteered). The motion passed unanimously.
The board confirmed its regular meeting practice of meeting on the last Wednesday of each month from 3 to 5 p.m., agreed to cancel the December meeting and to move November’s meeting to Nov. 18 to avoid holiday conflicts. The motions were made, seconded and approved without recorded opposition.
These administrative decisions will be reflected in the board’s calendar and shared with county staff for scheduling and packet planning.
