Larimer County adopts amended Ranch Master Plan; tables Hansen appeal to March hearing

Larimer County Commissioner Jody Shai McNally, chair of the Board of County Commissioners, said the board voted Jan. 26, 2026 to adopt the amended Ranch Master Plan, formalizing the county’s framework for Phase 2 planning at the Ranch Events Complex.
Portia Cook, strategic communications lead for the Ranch Master Plan, told the board the amended plan replaces the 2017 master plan and the 2019 strategic implementation plan, aligns with the voter-approved 0.15% sales tax and incorporates newly acquired land (72 acres). “We are here today to request and recommend the adoption of the amended master plan,” Cook said, noting Phase 1 (2019–2024) delivered infrastructure and facilities including Arena Circle and roadway improvements, Origin Arena, a 95-site RV lot with electrical and full hookups, and other foundational projects.
