Coldwater OKs waste-heat and solar agreements with American Municipal Power
Summary
Council approved participation in a waste-heat energy schedule (Tallgrass project) and a master service agreement for the Korsage solar project through American Municipal Power.
The Coldwater City Council on Nov. 10 authorized two energy agreements with American Municipal Power (AMP).
Paul presented a proposed participation agreement (Resolution 25-105; Agreement 25-825-38) to purchase capacity and energy from the Tallgrass waste-heat project in Indiana. Council moved and approved the resolution and agreement by voice vote.
Staff then presented a master service agreement for the Korsage solar project in Michigan (Resolution 25-106; Agreement 25-39). Council adopted the master service agreement by voice vote.
Council did not discuss detailed commercial terms in the open session; both votes authorize staff to proceed with the stated agreements. Paul indicated the items were presented for adoption and several council members moved and supported the motions.
