She said the fleet expanded from 12 vehicles to 18 after the consolidation, maintenance costs for the quarter were $15,059.74, and driver staffing increased from 12 to 18 with additional dispatchers and a compliance worker.
The transit representative said service hours were extended—adding an hour to cover evening demand—and that a local senior center has taken on many same-day trip requests, easing pressure on the county's schedule. "We started creating an economic impact report," Adkins told commissioners, and she asked the commission to indicate what additional metrics they would like to see in future reports.
Commissioners praised the report as adequate and invited Adkins to return with a next-quarter update. The presentation closed with no formal action beyond acceptance of the report.
