Raccelli highlights overdose‑mapping and voter‑data protection bills

Raccelli also described a voter‑information protection bill he said is at the request of the secretary of state. The bill would require requests for sensitive voter data — such as birth dates and Social Security numbers — to be routed through the secretary of state's office rather than handled unilaterally by a single county auditor, aiming to standardize and protect voter information.
Waldrep praised the voter‑information effort as an important protection for Washington voters. Both measures were described as bills to be heard in committee; no votes or formal outcomes were reported in the interview.
