IEC 3 approves prior minutes and recesses to closed session on participant matters

Laura Thomas moved to approve the previous meeting minutes; Dr. Omidy seconded. A roll-call vote followed: Chair Kenya Smith voted yes, Dr. Omidy voted yes, and Laura Thomas voted yes. The motion carried and the minutes were adopted.
Later in the morning the committee recessed to closed session at 9:36 a.m. to discuss and vote on matters related to intervention program applicants and participants pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and Government Code provisions cited by staff. Open session reconvened at 12:33 p.m.; staff confirmed attendance (including Peggy Smith and Doctor Medes) and the committee adjourned at 12:34 p.m.
No specific final votes or dispositions from the closed session were announced in open session.
