Committee announces executive session schedule, amendment deadlines

Before adjourning, the chair of the House Education Committee reminded members that bills heard this week — including House Bill 16 83 and House Bill 16 62 — will be on the executive session agenda next Thursday. Members were told the deadline for making amendments public is 6 p.m. on Wednesday and the deadline for amendment requests is 10 a.m. on Wednesday. The chair asked members to coordinate with staff to avoid last-minute issues and said amendments not approved by the deadline will be at the discretion of the chair, who will confer with the ranking member.
