Staff and the county attorney said the change corrects contradictory language in chapter 20 and better aligns the ordinance with how the commission has been conducting review. The amendment is intended to remove confusion about whether a formal hearing is required at the county-commission level when a PUD application comes forward, mirroring current administrative practice.
The commission opened a public hearing for the item but heard no comments. After brief clarifying questions from commissioners, the body moved and seconded a recommendation of approval and the motion carried.
