Planning staff reports progress on BookCliffs redevelopment; commission discusses vandalism, blight enforcement

Planning staff told the commission that the BookCliffs redevelopment continues to move forward: staff issued a demolition permit for the site (for Green River), meetings have been scheduled to address road cross sections, utilities, ADA accessibility and related public-works items, and staff declined to grant final approval until demolition is complete. Staff explained preliminary approvals could be offered with conditions but declined final sign-off because of historic noncompliance at the site.
