The Emery County Commission voted Oct. 7 to accept a FY2026 Rural County Grant of $200,000 from the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity (contract number 260632825). The funds are designated for county economic-development initiatives, including programs the commission has previously discussed such as junior-entrepreneur workshops and business-improvement grants.
