Representative George introduced House Bill 3268 after consulting with Oklahoma City police and the Corporation Commission, saying the measure responds to a growing problem with fake or fictitious license tags, including on commercial vehicles. He said "knowingly displaying or making a false or fictitious tag would be a d 3 felony with a penalty up to no more than 2 years, 0 to 2 years."
