Harrison VFW donates to first responders and youth programs; Hilltop Performance outlines relocation plans
At the Dec. 3 meeting the Harrison VFW presented multiple donations to local departments and youth programs; Hilltop Performance, represented by counsel Brian O'Connell, described a planned move to a larger facility and urged patience as it works to reduce parking congestion at its current site.

Calvin Klein, an officer with the Harrison VFW, came forward during presentations to announce charitable checks and recent donations. He said the VFW and its charities fund provided $1,000 each to the Harrison Fire Department and Harrison Police Department, $1,500 to the mayor's fund, and additional smaller donations to youth sports and after-prom programs. Klein described prior and additional $5,000 donations toward police and fire fundraising projects and encouraged other local groups to contribute.
