HCDA seeks community input on MacKay area; workshop set for March 7
HCDA staff and consultant SSFM International presented an update on a MacKay area plan and rules review, saying three land‑use scenarios will be developed this summer and a community visioning workshop is scheduled for March 7. A draft plan is expected in late fall, followed by proposed rule changes and additional public vetting.

The Hawaiʻi Community Development Authority heard an informational presentation Feb. 4 from staff and consultant SSFM International on a MacKay area plan and rules update that will guide future land‑use and regulatory recommendations for the MacKay area of the Kakaako Community Development District.
