The Clarkston Town Council unanimously approved four resolutions during its Feb. 3 meeting that address personnel, scheduling and facility fees. By roll call, the council approved Resolution 26-03 appointing Lonnie Peterson as deputy clerk; Resolution 26-04 appointing Luke Rishall to the town’s Planning and Zoning Commission; Resolution 26-05 establishing regular council meeting dates; and Resolution 26-06 amending the town master fee schedule to reduce or eliminate rental fees for the community center, amphitheater and pavilions.
The council discussed each item briefly before voting. For Resolution 26-03, council members cited statutory authority and the need to fill the deputy clerk role; the motion and second carried on a unanimous roll-call vote. For Resolution 26-04 members expressed support for Luke Rishall’s appointment and approved the measure by roll call. Resolution 26-05 sets regular meetings on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at Clarkston Town Hall. Resolution 26-06 adjusts rental rates: the community center fee was reduced for typical three- to five-hour rentals (with a deposit), while the amphitheater and pavilion rental fees were set to no rental fee with a deposit requirement; council members confirmed that rental agreements and deposit requirements remain in effect.
Council members framed the actions as administrative housekeeping to maintain continuity in town operations and to make community facilities more accessible. All four resolutions passed on unanimous votes recorded by roll call. The council did not set additional substantive conditions for implementation during the meeting.
The council listed the next meeting for Feb. 18, 2026.
