The Tyler City Council voted to approve a parking-lot condition that requires a landscaped buffer yard and screening where the lot borders homes on the south. Staff (Speaker 1) told the council the rule requires trees and either a fence or a hedgerow to shield headlights and other vehicle impacts on the neighboring properties. According to staff, notices sent to nearby residents returned one in favor (from the applicant) and none in opposition, and the planning commission recommended approval.
