Don Elzinga asked the commission for approval to subdivide the rear of a property at 8680 Madsen Drive so the owner can build a new single-family residence. Elzinga said the neighborhood has older, smaller homes at the north end of the subdivision and larger homes at the south end, and that the proposed new house would likely be a modest ranch.
