Mahoning County commissioners approve routine contracts, bids and resolutions

Commissioners approved agreements including an annual $18,250 contract with Maximus USF Services Inc. for the county’s cost-allocation plan and a $3,614.20 contract with Henley Graphic Communications for distribution of the Mahoning County bridal guide. The board also approved a request for up to $50,000 for Telesolutions Inc. to provide countywide voice and network services and a renewal with M & L Laundry Equipment Company for repairs and service at county justice centers (estimated $10,000).
Engineering staff presented modification number 2 with American Structurepoint Inc. for additional inspection services on the Western Reserve Road widening project (Hitchcock Road to Interstate 680). The change order was described as $510,000 in non-general funds and was approved by roll call.
The sanitary district received approval to award polymer contracts (Polydine and Tidewater) for wastewater treatment plants for the period Jan. 1, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2028; staff said awards were to the low bidders and funded from non-general accounts.
Other approved items included a moral-obligation payment request to reimburse $963.75 for training (Clerk of Courts) and a memorandum of understanding with Weber Township and engineers for a road and infrastructure sales tax project ($328,220). Jobs and Family Services presented a resolution supporting a $165,000 application for adult protective services funds and approvals to hire two full‑time adult protective workers and one income-maintenance greeter.
Roll call votes on the consent items were recorded as affirmative with no recorded dissent in the meeting transcript; the board then set its next meeting for the following Thursday at 10 a.m. and adjourned after brief announcements.
