Planning & Zoning Commission elects officers unanimously

At its Dec. 1 work session, the Planning & Zoning Commission unanimously confirmed new officers: Chair (Vice Chair Hack, nominated), Vice Chair Ricky Lightfoot, and Secretary April Myrick. The votes were by voice/hand and commissioners expect the new slate to lead the evening public hearing.
The Planning & Zoning Commission confirmed its officer slate on Dec. 1 during a short procedural segment of the work session.
Vice Chair Hack was nominated for Chair and was confirmed by a unanimous voice/hand vote. Commissioners then nominated Ricky Lightfoot to be Vice Chair; Lightfoot told the commission he appreciated the "vote of confidence" and he was confirmed unanimously. April Myrick was nominated and confirmed as Secretary by unanimous vote.
No recorded roll-call tallies were read during the meeting; staff announced the results as unanimous. The newly elected officers will preside over the commission’s evening public hearing session.
