Monroe County considers ordinance change to ease variances for small accessory structures

The Monroe County Board of Commissioners reviewed proposed amendments in Ordinance 2026-05 that would allow limited exceptions within the environmental constraint overlay for accessory structures under 1,000 sq ft and on lots with at least 0.25 acres of contiguous buildable area; formal action was deferred to next week.
