Council members later confirmed that affected residents had signed agreements to allow the work to proceed and expressed appreciation that the long-awaited project was finally moving forward.
As part of the broader budget and CIP discussion earlier in the meeting, staff also described potential sewer borrowing for the city’s share of regional wastewater treatment plant improvements and listed a series of possible future sewer projects identified in a McClure study as items to monitor; those projects are not part of the immediate consent approvals but were discussed as future needs.
