Following a multi‑year public engagement process and incorporation of CAL FIRE guidance, the Board adopted and signed the 2025 CWPP, which catalogs vulnerability assessments, priority regional projects and an action plan to reduce wildfire risk.

The Trinity County Board of Supervisors voted Feb. 3 to adopt the 2025 Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) and to sign a declaration of agreement endorsing the plan. Skyler Fisher, county Fire Safe Council coordinator with the Trinity County Resource Conservation District, summarized extensive public and partner engagement including mapping exercises in each district, updated vulnerability assessments, new action items (including vehicle abatement on evacuation routes) and specific priority fuels‑reduction projects by region.
