Library seeks FY27 operating increases for branch staffing, materials budget and programming positions

Terry presented the library’s FY27 operating request items that must be entered with Metro by Feb. 6. Requested items include two library associate positions for the Bordeaux branch (to bring regional staffing to state minimums as part of a three‑year plan), moving the materials budget into operating (requested both as an operating and 4% ask as a contingency), a systemwide program manager to coordinate adult/teen/youth programming (reporting to Chantelle at the main library), program specialists for the Be Well program and for digital inclusion, and converting bookmobile positions from foundation‑funded to Metro‑funded lines.
