Draper council approves consent items, appoints city recorder and grants local consent for aquarium event

Single-event permit (public hearing, item 7a): Staff (Travis) presented an application from Craft Culinary Concepts LLC, doing business as Vermillion Hospitality Group, for a single-event permit to allow on-site sale and consumption of alcohol at the aquarium for an event called "Kisses and Fishes" on Feb. 14 from 5–11 p.m. Travis explained single-event permits can authorize alcohol service for a limited duration (up to 120 hours under the city code) and showed a floor plan with bars on both floors. After the public hearing produced no public comment, a council member moved to grant local consent; the council voted and staff reported the item was approved unanimously (5–0).
Adjournment and other items: The mayor moved to adjourn, the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
No contested or split votes were recorded for these items at the meeting; where roll-call counts were given, staff noted the consent motion recorded 4–0 with one member not voting in the roll-call sequence and the single-event permit passed 5–0.
