Betsy (speaker 12), who led the grant-tracker update, said multiyear grantees must submit reports on a schedule (January 31—0February and an additional April round) and that some of the larger programs were scheduled for distribution this year. The committee specifically identified the National Forest Foundation, which staff said anticipates a $450,000 distribution in the coming year, and the Central Colorado Conservancy—0s Community Conservation Connection partnership, shown on the tracker at roughly $128,000.
Committee members asked to see contracts and financial details for some large programs before or alongside presentations. "If it's possible, I'd like to see the contracts and financials for the entire program," one member said of the National Forest Foundation grant.
Staff said the contracts are available in the county—0s document system and that they would provide links and invite all six organizations to the February meeting so new or incoming committee members can be briefed.
The committee also discussed streamlining the application process in light of a potential smaller grant pool for 2027 and the timeline required to build an application and scoring rubric. Staff reminded applicants and grantees to route communications through the Community Foundation or county staff rather than contacting committee members directly to avoid ex parte issues.
