County public safety staff updated the board on the Motorola radio project and asked the board to authorize Chief Financial Officer Mitch Kai to sign a milestone certification required under the contract to allow a subsequent payment to the contractor. Captain Sam Markfeldt and project staff said equipment had shipped to a staging site and that payment timing reflects contract milestones rather than county receipt of inventory to final sites.
