Commissioner Michael Rather resigns; commission accepts and sets expedited application process for District 3

Commissioner Michael Rather announced his resignation from the Rutherford County Board of Commissioners (District 3) at the July 17 meeting, saying personal and family reasons prompted the decision and that his resignation would be effective the following day.
