Representative (14) presented House Bill 194 to establish an Independent Ethics Commission for the Utah State Board of Education and to codify a complaint, investigation and board action process similar to the legislature’s existing model. Sponsor said the measure creates parity with other elected bodies and provides a neutral investigatory path that currently does not exist for this elected board.
