The Worth County Board of Supervisors approved a series of routine items Tuesday, including continuation of a wildlife survey, liquor license renewals and a waiver request from the North Iowa Regional Housing Authority.
Speaker 3 moved to allow Iowa State University to continue its wildlife survey on wetland EDE number 21, noting the university had provided prior reports and asking that staff be notified before field visits; the board voted unanimously to approve the continuation. The board also approved pending claims and accepted the county auditor and clerk-of-court reports after motions and unanimous votes.
The board approved a liquor-license renewal and an ownership-change notice for local country-club operations after a brief presentation and a unanimous vote. Speaker 3 introduced a fiscal-year-25 pilot waiver request from the North Iowa Regional Housing Authority related to in-lieu-of-tax calculations for properties in Manly; Speaker 2 moved to approve the waiver and the motion carried.
On employee health insurance for FY27, the board agreed to defer action until they receive confirmation from a staff member identified as Ryan. Other routine updates included scheduling and department-head reports.
