House Sunset Committee Renews Construction Recruitment Institute for Two Years

The committee considered SB 103, which would renew authorization for the Construction Recruitment Institute (an entity created in 2009) for two years. A presenter outlined that the institute operates using fees assigned to construction stakeholders and lists partners including the Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama; Alabama Associated Contractors; the Alabama Road Builders Association; the Subcontractors Association of Alabama; the Alabama Construction Trade Union; Alabama Power Company; and other construction companies.
