Palos Park posts revised development code; planning commission hearing set for Feb. 19

Commissioner Wade said the revised public hearing draft dated January 2026 reflects public feedback and direction from the planning commission gathered at prior hearings in October and December 2025. He said the update is intended to provide clearer zoning and subdivision requirements to regulate new development and that after the planning commission completes its review and recommendation, the village council would need to formally approve any code and map changes.
Wade encouraged the public to attend the Feb. 19 planning commission meeting at 7:00 p.m. to comment on the proposed changes. A hard copy of the draft is available at the recreation center and project information is posted on the village website; the building department can be contacted at the phone number provided during the meeting.
