He also cited youth programming: "our 4‑H youth development program" in Limestone County has roughly 186 members, he said.
Kingston noted programs focused on older adults, including a "master of memory" initiative described as supporting cognition and focus, and said the extension will continue community engagement events (TCF development) to gather local input on service needs. He described recruiting an ag agent as a near-term priority: "it is my goal within the next week to get approval to announce that so we can find a good qualified agent to come serve here in Limestone." The county did not discuss a hiring timeline or the name of a replacement candidate during the meeting.
The presentation closed with commissioners thanking Kingston; no formal vote was required. The announcement sets a procedural next step for county staff to approve posting and to resume routine extension services locally.
