Chris Kirby, who prepared the plans for the project, told the board the addition will square off the house, expand the kitchen and add a bedroom and bath at the rear of the home. He said the proposal continues an existing left‑side setback nonconformity but does not raise building height. "It's equal to the existing property that's there," Kirby said about the addition's height.
Board members asked routine questions about scale and neighbors; no abutters appeared in opposition. The board moved to close the public hearing and voted unanimously to approve the special permit as presented.
The approval carries the usual recordation requirements; the project previously received a negative determination from the conservation commission that cleared that review pathway. The board recorded its vote and wished the owners well on the project.
