Committee advances $1.5 million measure to support rural libraries

Senator Campos presented Senate Bill 201, which would appropriate $1,500,000 from the General Fund for the Cultural Affairs Department to support rural libraries in fiscal year 2027. The sponsor said the funds would help expanded libraries that qualified for grants and that any unspent balance at the end of FY27 would revert to the general fund.
