East Ridge council approves assistant city manager designation, budget amendment, and road change order
The council approved designation of Fire Chief Mike Williams as assistant city manager (to serve as interim when City Manager Miller retires, with a $1,000/month interim supplement), adopted a FY2026 budget amendment (Ordinance 12-41), and approved a change order for Don Ross Road resurfacing to secure TDOT reimbursement.

The East Ridge City Council on Feb. 12 took several administrative and fiscal actions, including approving a first-reading ordinance to designate Fire Chief Mike Williams as assistant city manager (effective immediately) with a provision that he will receive $1,000 per month when serving as interim city manager after City Manager Scott Miller's retirement on Feb. 27.
