SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — The City of San Rafael’s acting zoning administrator, Renee Nikanay, conditionally approved a conditional use permit and a parking modification on June 4 to allow Enrichinalized Music to operate a specialized music education program in a light-industrial/office district.
The decision covers a nonprofit program that, according to its founder and director, Jane Kramer, provides “full scholarship tuition free music education for children mostly who live in the Canal neighborhood” and supports students’ college-readiness and social-emotional development. Kramer told the hearing the organization starts children at about age 8 and seeks a permanent site to stabilize programming.
