The first nominee (transcript self-identification: Bridal Mccappade) described previous service on the commission, work focused on survivors of gender-based violence, and leadership roles at Legal Voice and the YWCA; she said she would continue co-chairing a safety committee and advance civil legal protections for survivors if reappointed.
