The Wellington Planning, Zoning and Adjustment Board on Feb. 19 heard a staff briefing about PZ0367, a village‑initiated application to the Recreational Trails Program intended to fund exercise equipment and an exercise trail at Village Park.
Tim Sillings of the Wellington Planning Department said the RTP item is a grant application and that the board’s role is to have the item on the agenda and acknowledge it; no board vote was required. “There’s really no vote needed by the board itself,” Sillings said, and added the village is seeking $450,000 for the project.
There were no public comments on the grant item. Staff noted the board will be informed if the application advances and receives funding.
