The Ketchikan Gateway Borough School District Board of Education voted unanimously to appoint Kara Forebear as the district’s superintendent under a two‑year contract with an annual salary of $170,000 beginning July 1, 2026. Member Montgomery moved the appointment; Member Ginter seconded. The clerk called the roll and the motion passed 6–0.
