Committee adopts amendments and advances bill setting rules for district agreements with community and technical colleges

The Senate Committee on Education considered Senate Bill 341, which would set requirements for agreements between school districts and postsecondary educational institutions when postsecondary courses are taught in secondary schools. During consideration the committee adopted a balloon amendment clarifying the bill applies to negotiated agreements between a school district and the district's faculty, and later adopted an amendment to limit 'postsecondary educational institution' to community and technical colleges (excluding independent/private colleges). Both amendments passed by voice vote.
