Senate Bill 324 was presented to the Senate Health Committee as a measure to revise supervision rules for General X‑Ray Medical Operators (GXMOs). The sponsor said current requirements for on‑site physician supervision can hinder urgent‑care clinics in remote areas and that allowing nurse practitioners or physician assistants to supervise GXMO practice on site would make urgent care radiology services more feasible in rural parts of the state.
