Officials described CodeRED and Nixle as official, targeted alert systems that deliver phone calls, text messages and emails, and said ZoneHaven is intended to supplement, not replace, those tools. “In order to know your zone, you need to go to community.zonehaven.com, type in your address,” staff said, explaining that knowing a zone helps residents know whether an evacuation advisory or order applies to them.
Speakers emphasized practical steps for people with medical dependencies — CPAP machines, oxygen concentrators, insulin pumps — noting that evacuation planning must include power solutions and spare supplies. County outreach staff and 211 representatives also highlighted 211’s role in directing evacuees to resource centers and providing status updates during wildfires and PSPS events.
