Senator Solman (S1) summarized a report from the Mental Health Regulatory Agency and the Board of Licensed Social Workers on acquiring a new licensing database. The agencies are coordinating with the Department of Administrative Services' Statewide Procurement Services, which plans to release an enterprise‑wide request for proposal expected to place one or more vendors on a statewide pricing agreement; awards are anticipated by May 2026. Once an eligible vendor is selected, the agencies will determine scope, schedule and costs and report to the committee in 2027.
Senator McLean (S3) reported on the workers' compensation information system modernization: the project has received stage‑gate 1 and 2 endorsements, an RFP was released in November 2025, and ten vendor proposals are under review; vendor selection is anticipated by fall 2026, with full implementation targeted by June 2028. The Transportation and Economic Development Subcommittee recommended acknowledging the report, and the committee recorded no objection.
Both items were acknowledged; the agencies were instructed to return with updates on timelines, costs and implementation plans.
