"My name is Piper Stone, and I'd like to thank the board for taking the time to recognize me tonight," Piper said.
Seventh-grader Alexandra Bednar and Delilah Fultz were recognized as middle-school students of the month for December and January, respectively; both described participation in multiple sports and clubs. High-school honorees included Ruby Morello Sanchez (November) and Sophia Martinez (January), who noted involvement in soccer, track and the National Honor Society.
Elementary updates presented by Mrs. Neary included a recent visit from the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), Read Across America week activities, kindergarten registration next week, plans for a spring talent show and the return of the daddy–daughter dance. Neary also said Seussical the Musical performances are scheduled for May 21 and 22 and that PSSA testing will begin in April.
Board members accepted the recognitions and thanked students, family members and staff. No public comments were offered during the meeting's public-comment period.
