Okaloosa workshop highlights: donations, payroll totals, procurement and a Triumph Gulf Coast grant amendment

At the Jan. 12 workshop the Okaloosa County School Board previewed a long consent agenda with multiple financial and procurement items.

Highlights included several district capital outlay appropriations by board members to specific schools (Edwin's Elementary: $2,713.98; Elliot Pointe Elementary: $1,400; Ruckle Middle School: $7,940; Edge Elementary clear touch panel: $6,568.92; Plew Elementary clear touch panels: $14,823.02). A board member reported month-to-date donations of $60,663.48, including a $38,768.85 contribution from Air Engineers LLC earmarked for the HVAC department at the OTC.

Miss Perry listed the payroll warrant register and accounts payable totaling $41,126,988.38 for November 2025, self-insurance claims and fees totaling $3,008,446.57 and bank transfers totaling $8,000,000. Procurement items flagged for board consideration included renewal of ITB-21-02 for custodial chemicals and supplies and tag-on purchases over $50,000 for Snap-on Industrial and Howard Technologies. Projects and agreements previewed in the consent agenda included underground distribution facility work with Florida Power & Light at Destin Elementary, security camera upgrades at Baker and Davidson schools, a DTMC grant application, renewal of a memorandum of agreement with Flagler Hospital Inc. for student mental-health case management, a TAP program amendment and the first amendment to the Triumph Gulf Coast grant award agreement for the Health Academy of Northwest Florida (project #271).

These items were included on the workshop consent agenda for presentation; no final votes or approvals occurred at the workshop.
