City manager praises storm response, cites PFAS funding outreach and lists July–August community events

The city manager used the July 14 work session to brief the council on emergency response and near-term community events. The manager thanked public-safety personnel, public information staff and utilities for their work responding to a recent tropical storm, reporting rainfall measurements across the city between about 8.7 and 9.40 inches depending on location. The manager specifically praised Kevin Turner, identified as the city’s emergency management director, for his role in the response.
