Morrow County commissioners approve routine contracts, CDBG application and bid advertisements

Morrow County commissioners on May 22 approved a slate of routine business: minutes, bills for payment, multiple service agreements, a contractor pay application and authorization to submit a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) allocation application for recommended projects. They also approved advertising requests for several procurement items, including a fuel farm at the Morrow County Airport.

During the meeting Speaker 2 presented a service agreement between the Morrow County Court of Common Pleas and Keystone Richland Center LLC (with date and room-and-board rate changes noted). The board approved the agreement on roll call.

The commissioners approved a purchase-of-service agreement with Safe House RSD for county court services; Speaker 2 noted changes to residential and group rates. The board also approved pay application number 1 for Stevens Construction Company for work on the Wareham Health District project after the presentation.

On grant business, Speaker 3 summarized CDBG submissions: "So there's 3 different projects... 1 had to be rejected... the other 2, they were gonna match that portion," and said staff recommended authorizing submission and distribution of allocated funds. The board authorized the county to submit the CDBG allocation grant application and to distribute funds as recommended.

For procurement, Speaker 3 described the airport fuel-farm bid request: the project design is complete and bids would be to supply and place two above-ground skidded tanks. "2 tanks, 2 5000 gallon tanks," Speaker 3 said when describing the specification. The board authorized advertising those bids.

All routine motions reported in the meeting were seconded and passed on roll call. The meeting concluded with the board approving adjournment.
