The director also noted personnel changes: Angela’s last day at the county was the previous day, Randy will take on expanded duties, and a hybrid position pairing Cheryl with existing responsibilities was created to add office resources and help the office handle larger items.
On funding, the director said the county received guidance from the state of Ohio on how to apply for money it received through 'House Bill 2' and said the county is expecting roughly $500,000, potentially arriving in the early part of next month. The director framed this as a near-term budgetary development that staff will act on.
What’s next: Staff will pursue the HB2 application process and continue work on change orders and construction closeout; commissioners did not take additional action on HB2 funding at this meeting.
