Cowlitz County board adopts student-drafted resolution recognizing local Bigfoot folklore

Board members noted the students’ efforts and that similar school-led resolutions have been adopted in other counties. Chairman Rick thanked the class and said the board would sign the resolution for them.
The vote was procedural and symbolic: the resolution recognizes folklore and urges stewardship of undeveloped lands. No changes to county policies, budgets, or land-use regulations were proposed or enacted as part of the resolution. The board proceeded to its routine consent items after the vote.
